It hurts me to stay but it breaks my heart just as much to leave
My heart says nods yes as my heart shakes no.
At this point I don't even know what we're trying to prove
anymore
or if we even are still trying to
What exactly are we fighting for.
A broken friendship
a lost love
a hopeless romantic
a failing relationship
Everytime that roller coaster rides up
gravity finds a way to bring it right back down
as quickly as possible
No high last long enough
to grasp
all thats left is a hazy memory
or a faint smell that's barely there
Im tired of being the paste to this paper mache
It's melting from the inside out
causing what used to be a masterpiece
to become a disasterous mess
If beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
whos vision matters?
On the outside looking in
things might be peachey
but on the inside looking out
the core of that apple has been eatten away
by the very hungry caterpillar and
the various insects that love to attack the sweet substance.
A good thing cant be great forever I guess
Sometimes after rain, snow, hail, heat, and wind,
the big bad wolf might succeed in blowing down that brick house.
The wear and tear ends up eating away at people
with remnants of the what used to be
and all that's left is a satisfied wolf
and a lonely brick
fallen apart
with no hopes of being part of that building it once called
